I have been in touch with knifemaker Eduardo Montanaro for a while now and we finally meet in person at the last SPKS, in November.
He is a great guy and a perfectionist and his jeweler background shows up in his simple but super well executed slipjoint folders.
At the show, he had this nice replica of a Joseph Rodgers - in a pattern very popular over here - along with the original version. I could not take pics back then but got them from him now so I am sharing them with you.
The blade is carbon steel smoothly hand sanded, around 3 1/4" long and it has brass bolsters and horse bone handle. The action is very smooth and well adjusted and everything fits perfectly, a realpleasure to open and close.
Eduardo has just started but he is certainly a maker to watch out!

That's the kind of knife that will find it's way into your pocket for, sayyyy, twenty years. Classic, warm, and useful.

Thanks!

I agree , that is a functional yet classic looking knife. I havent seen a lot with horse bone so that makes it unique to me , I would imagine horse bone strong !

Very nice. :)
