One of my new babies arrived and I think this one is now at the top of my pile. :D

But I am wondering exactly what category she falls into. When I first saw her - from pics -I thought she was a SJ. But standing corrected I am thinking Badger. 1/4 in thick. Blade measured from end of handel to tip is 5 in. Flat grind.

Custom Shop Badger - right?

Wow! Where did you get that???

To me it looks like a custom ground BAIII. Additionally, it has a different profile than a BAIII, a little less belly and width......nice score.

That is an automatic classic man! I wish I had had the extra cash when it came up, you be looking at it on here like I am instead of fondling it. :D

I picked this one up off of the "Bay" - And again I too thought she was a SJ at first. Put her next to my tanker and they are quite similar.

And ya - the stag handels really sets her apart!

Must be one of Jerrys special babies! :D  :D

Forgot to add - overall length 10in.

And she feels really great in the hand. And I am playing with her right now in my hot little hands!:D !

your all crazy, its a tanker a :D

the satin jacks blade was longer then its handle.

that and the satin jack didnt have that large of a distal taper, or one that came that close to the handle. but if its been modified by busse to have it, even the tanker a's may not have looked like that stock.

also, badgers have taller blades then that, they come closer to being level with the gaurd.

scratch what i said about it being a combat 4.... looking at the combat 4's on badmojo, they seem to have a much larger belly then the tanker a's, wich seem to be closer patterns to the satin jacks. likewise on the combat 4's the blade was taller and closer to badger heigth.

heres a tanker a from dirt diver for reference-

theres only one thing thats keeping me a little held back on being 100% possitive its a tanker a mod - and thats the choil. the tanker a's had the funky sloping choil whee it was a perfect small round circle at the blade, but a long genltle curve on the gaurd side... where as your's seems a little closer to being a perfect circle...

unless jerry cut down a sj (wich i dont think he'd do if he had a tanker a around), i'm gonna stick with tanker a.

Going to go with Seth on this, looks like a Combat 4 with stag handles.

Himm - did not think about the Combat4. That does look closer. The Tanker is close too but for the clip point.

Here is my compairson

Doug, you suck!!!! :D

Great blades, there. However, aren't they so similar that you don't need both......;)
