January is about to end. Perhaps it is too early to tell but I am wondering if there are any indications as to which new blades (which have been introduced thus far) will be best sellers on the market?

Anyway, are there any statistical records to indicate that a particular model of knife is among the Top Ten of the Year?

Is there any independent source which does cross-references of sales figures to back up such a claim?

I do not get to excited over factory knives. My current favs are MT/LCC and the Camilus EDC as well as the constants WH and CRK.

I also like what CRKT has done with the Crawford and Carson designs - great bang for the buck. It will be interesting to see what they come out with this year.

I am really excited over the Camilus/Fisk knife and can not wait to get my hands on one.

I also want to check out some of Pro-Tech's new work.

I wish a factory would think about some well done slipjoints. They are out there, but I would like to see more.

I am most excited about the Blade Show this year.
Where I will take delivery of some stuff that I have been waiting on for a several years. Some of the M.S. test knives were ordered during discussions that took place up to 5 years ago. (even before some of the makers became Journeyman smiths.) I hope to be doing some serious celebrating with some very close friends that become Master Smiths this year even if some or all do not make it I know I will not be too disapointed.

Case is coming out with a line of Whittlers and Doctors in the Select variety.:) Happy Happy

Thanks, Gus, for the early clues on what to look for in the coming months.

The LCC is also one of my favourites. I have been telling knife friends that this particular one is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

As for the others, I will keep a close watch on them.
