Any Christmas, stubborn packaging. One of the kids will nonchalantly ask if anyone happens to have a pocket knife handy. Wife and kids all laugh. Never the hero, never the appreciative response I'm expecting.

I was a teenager and my cat climbed over the back fence where my neighbor had a large bull mastiff that was not kind to cats.
I was out looking for her and found little thumper tangled in some marking string left over from the recently completed fence build and that mastiff had just awaken.
I climbed over the fence, cut her free with my Western f48a and hopped back over with my cat just as the dog showed up.
