What I refer to as a "Pack Knife".
I really don't know how many of these I have made now, but it's a great platform to mix up different materials.
This fellow wanted this for his pack and wanted to look good carrying it.
1095 and 15N20 hot blued Damascus that is RADICALLY!!! chatoyant.
I find chatoyance much better displayed when shot in decent sunlight, but I not only had no sun today, but it's 11 below.
My shutter finger was getting a little stiff and I just accepted what I got first go-'round.
About 7" long blade, hot-blued steel guard and stabilized Redwood burl handle.
1 more to get out before Xmas. :p

Don't care how many you've made or how many you've shown us Karl , This knife is very representative of what you do and I enjoy them every time I see one. Thanks.

Not sure how good he will look, but he will look good carrying that! ;) :D That's a high class pack knife. Well done!

Really love the steel in this one Karl--- very nice piece.

So -11?!?!? That must be how you keep the riff-raff out eh? LOL

Love your hot blued damascus and fittings Karl, that handle looks mighty comfortable as well.
