Hello. A while back I had this plan to make a wedding ring for myself and sourced some damascus for the project. The ring turned out great and I had a little piece leftover and I wanted to do something with it. Here is my humble and scattered work in progress. I hope you enjoy and comments are welcome. This knife is not for sale. Neither is the ring, unless something goes wrong…
This is based off a broken Boker stockman that I purchased for a pattern. The blade steel is Zoe Crist carbon damascus (very friendly folks) and the backspring is etched 1075 or 1080. The pivot bushing is 630 Al/Bronze and the shadow bushings are 840 oiled bronze. I don’t recommend using 840 as it is too porous. Live and learn. Nickel silver pins and natural g10 finished to 3000 grit.
