Well this morning I put my garden in and decided to go take a hike on the mountain with a good friend. The weather was calling for scattered thunderstorms but we didn't let that damper the day.
Found this little guy while setting up my hammock and rain fly he was under a rock I used to reinforce my stake on my guy lines.
Got the fire started via firesteel.
Tested out my new tarp from Warbonnet. The edge in digi cam.
Rain started up so we took shelter in my buddies lean to set up and sat on some logs and drank some hot tea.
Ran low on water so we collected some off the back of the tarp run off.
Rain passed and we were getting hungry a hearty meal of Jalapeno spam and pork n beans
Heres our fire set up with a rotatable pot tension type set up for hanging bottles/pots. Beans in the pot and spam in the skillet.
Finished product
The look of approval for the chef.
Some of the blades that made it all happen. Rodent 6 on the left and my Ratmandu on the right.
Thanks for taking a I look I just wanted to share a little of my outing since all of you quite often post such great pics of your trips.
Get out and get them rats dirty!
