I'd like to ask all of our RAT-o-philes to take a few minutes to remember the atrocity that killed 2,974 of our fellow Americans. I remember the day very well as I we listened to the radio about the cowardly act. We immediatly activated the Medical Control Center, and sat there with the most helpless feeling in the world. 7 Dec will mark my 20 years in the Air Force September 11, 2001 is a day that will be forever ingrained into who I am.

May we never forget. May God watch over and comfort the families that lost loved ones.

Also, thank you to any that have or do serve. May the good Lord watch over and protect you and your families!

Amen Jim. I will never forget it and many here will never forget it, but sadly, all too many Americans have already forgotten it (not literally) and that's not good. What happened to the patriotism I saw for the weeks following 9/11? How easily some forget....

Thanks Jim.

I'll never forget that horrible day. I'm grateful for all who served in the armed forces or police and fire departments around the US.

You guys would not believe the number of places I've seen around here who are flying flags at full mast! I've gone into every place I could and asked them to lower it and show some respect. Only two have........... I ask that you guys do the same if you see a flag being flown at full mast. We owe it to our fellow Americans who lost their lives on that day. Cheers

I agree knotslip. Too many people take too many things for granted. They think out of sight out of mind and that's far from the truth.

Thanks to those who sacrifice so much to serve and do their best to keep me and my children safe.

Wow! Good on you. Many people are afraid of confrontation and would never challenge or correct someone. I'm glad some of the gravity of what happend has not left everybody.

May we remember this terrible date. God bless those that lost their lives, those that served to protect and those that were lost in the attempt to save.

Raise your glass for a toast:
"To those we lost, to those we loved, to those that protected us. May they rest in peace as they will always remain in our hearts. Respect shall be given to them by protecting our loved ones and loving everyday. Godspeed fellows"

Bob, I'm not ashamed to say that your post brought tears to my eyes.

God bless you my friend.

Kirk

Thank you, Stormstaff. I'm not in the least bit ashamed to admit that there were tears in my eyes when I wrote it.

God bless America.

No forgetting here.

May the Lord comfort and bless the families of those who lost a loved one on that day.

I know I'll never forget that day. I'll also never forget the mad scramble for flags on 9/12 I was the only one in the neighborhood with a flag/flagpole before 9/11. The street was covered with flags for a time after that, but sadly, they are all gone now. My flag still flies proud.
