A day out on the Canal -> Couple knife shots!

Nothing really exciting, just spent a couple hours canoeing on the canal and fishing.. not much of a catch.. but there was definitely a few nibbles!

I have yet to get any yellow perch this year. The little buggers will hit a lure as big as themselves. I've had tiny ones get an entire treble hook from a Mepps or Panther Martin in their mouth. How they got their mouth open that wide is beyond me.

Anywho... looks like a great time. I'm jealous.

The great thing about fishing is that you can be absolutely horrible at it and still have a great time. Worst fishing trip I ever went on was still awesome. Great pics.
 
That is the great thing about fishing, you can have an awful catch, but a wonderful time!
 
it was an alright day... I finished worked at 8am.. so... when I walked in at 8:15 to get a brewski... I got a pretty dirty look... guess we can't all live a normal life. then again what's normal...

they announce rain for the rest of the week, but I plan on getting out tomorrow, regardless to test out some new things... poncho shelter, collecting rain water to fill my quart mil canteen, testing a few traps.

As a matter of fact I'll charge the batteries to my dig that way I'll have something to share with all of you for once.. It's crazy how often I forget the damn thing!

Oh and for the first time ever... I saw a muskrat, unfortunately wasn't quick enough to get my dig in the bottom of my bag.. shame too..
 
Wow, you and I look alike at first glance. Except that one of us has three times the body hair of the other :D.

Great pics, I can't wait to be out fishing again!
