So I finally got out today. it was 90 degrees out and the sun was out, no clouds! I packed up the pack with some bug spray, my nikon coolpix 5400, 12lb trilene big game, fishing pole, tackle box with all my bass stuff and some trout stuff, nestea bottle, my little PSK with a SAK and lighter on the outside (just some med supplies inside & signaling mirror), hand sanatizer both for sanitizing my hands & starting a fire if need be, twine, a 2' piece of flexible steel wire and of course my knife. The knife held up awesome. I used it to cut the bottle to make a fish trap, cut the twine for both the trap and the snare. I made a spring snare trap and found two sticks with nubs coming off of them and carved them to fit snug but slide easy. Sharpened up the stick that goes onto the ground, cleaned up where the twine would go on the trigger. I did some chopping with it, a tree had recently fallen over and i decided to beat the crap out of the edge i thinned out a bit for a better bite, but the blade held up just fine. It somewhat shaved after i was done with it, that oak was pretty hard. I did some prying looking for bait too, but as youll see in the last blurry pic (sun hit as i was taking the pic, wish i could have brought my DSLR, this camera has a manual focus but it's by digital, hard to explain lol) i found a night crawler on the way back. Just how luck goes, huh! The knife stayed clean throughout the use also. Well anyways, here are the pics that do the talkin for the knife better than i do. Still cuts paper cleanly so the edge isnt gone whatso ever, and the tip held up fine. Here's my ugly mug, it was hot!

I didn't tie the snare all the way to the twine because i wasn't actually using it, so i just tied it so you'd get the idea and i also made it larger than it needed to be, because i was running out of time. Here's the rest of the pics.

The two yellowish orange pictures of the nestea bottle were taken through my polarized fishing glasses lol. The pictures didn't come out as good as i would have liked, but they were more for recording the event than artistry. lol. I love the knife and thanks for the compliments. I need to get a horizontal sheath for it with a pocket for a SAK.

This reminds me I set a fish trap in a pond last night. Was going to use my fishing kit too, but mosquitoes were heavy.

Thanks for sharing

The mosquitoes were horrible yesterday! I was flailing my arms all the way home due to the sweat taking the repellent off. It was annoying to say the least. That trap didn't work all too well, i think i needed to get it out in the water a bit more. Next time i'll cut it before hand and try and make it nicer. I threw some powerbait in there. They would try and get it from the outside... but that wasn't helping my cause any.

Nice pics! You know what I did yesterday? Sat on my butt on the couch browsing Bladeforums. :o Getting out to do some of the stuff you guys do would be cool.

Nice knife, too. I don't know why but every time I see that design, it makes me want one more. Too bad it would cost me a week's paycheck to get one made. :grumpy:

Ah, now that I look at it, that's true. I don't see it in his gallery. :o It looked a bit like the Anniversary EDC at first glance. If I pick one up it'd either be that or the Scout Jr.

I designed that one, it's on his website though. It's 5/32" 01, with a 4" blade and 5" handle, maple burl for the scales and blue liners. I had my initials engraved on one side. Here, i'll post some other pics up for ya.
