Went for a short walk with the dog this afternoon at one of my favorite spots in my area (Pointe-des-Cascades), there's some nice white water in the summer, but come autumn they lower the water level to avoid floods to preserve the natural park. It was a great day, the dog had a blast and got to test some new toys! && got to see some ice fishing shacks flipped on the side. Unusual to say the least, perhaps vandals?

Ha! What a great day to be out! Great looking bushcrafty blade (is that the Condor Bushcraft blade?) and axe.

I just commented on Rick Marchand's Medium ALICE pack, though his is w/frame.

How does your pack handle without a frame? How much weight?

Yea its the Condor Bushlore, and love the wetterlings!
My pack weighs in at 11.4lbs, fairly light but it's not packed to it's max capacity, in the main compartment all I have is a cheapo woodland camo tarp I like for winter use and a drysac that has a ziploc full of trailmix, jerky, cliff bars and hot coco mix. and another ziploc with my pipe, tabacco, damper tool and some waterproof matches.

There is a lot of redundancy and I've tried to trim my kit down a bit yesterday, for the most part I'm pretty happy with it, I couldn't be happier with my med alice pack, it's a pack that's durable is very versatile and just keeps on giving.

I haven't tried the alice with frame so I wont comment on it, but I carry my pack high on my back cinch down the shoulder straps and it makes for a very comfy carry , straps dont slip off the shoulders either this way. if this makes sense?

Thanks for looking!

Great pics buddy, that looks like my kinda hike for sure !!!

Thanks, it was a great time, the dog up on her backlegs is a definate sign of approval.

Great post! how do you like the condor?

I honestly love it. It's my goto knife and I have many knives from poor to excellent quality, custom and productions.. Just I can beat on it and put it to work and not worry about it getting dirty,it seem's to ask for it, from it's condition upon arrival. I have 3, 2 hardwood handle and 1 canvas. the ones with the hardwood handle kind of need finishing, at least mine 1 of them came dry/scuffy and unprotected. so I applied a few layers of linseed. The grind is nothing perfect, but gives it character imho. Feels great in the hand. Worth it!

I just bought the Condor Bushcraft and the Bushlore just last week. I couldn't decide which one to get so I got both. At $30 apiece I figured I couldn't go wrong. I've never owned a Condor product and I'm anxious to try them out. Glad to here you like yours. I may replace the hardwood handles with micarta.

Looks like a great time, nice selection of kit and of course the pup. Thanks for posting.

Hi. Great pics! I use the same pipe stuffing thing. Is yours made in the Czech Republic too?
