A day you have to read about... one of the best!

So today was one of the best days of my life. Why you ask? Let me explain...

So I wake up today to my Fenix P2D CE flashlight apparently crapping out on me since it refused to turn on. Frustrated, I was about to email the retailer, and it dawned on me, "Maybe the batteries' dead... hmm." Sure enough, it was and I was pretty glad about not having to send it back. Anyways... after that, my dad asks me if I wanted to take a ride with him up to a local state park. With him riding his 2005 Harley Road King Classic while I road alongside on my 2003 Yamaha R6 it was an outstanding ride as he told me some stories about when he was my age and how he went up there. That was awesome, and for four hours I got some rare bonding-time with dad...

After the ride, I came home to see that my HID (high intensity discharge - luxury-type headlights) headlight conversion kit for my R6 came in the mail. So, I start the project and low-and-behold when taking off my seat I find my CRKT M16-13M lodged in a spot right under my seat!!! MY LONG-LOST FAVORITE HAD BEEN FOUND!!! This knife I bought when I was in Advanced Individual Training for the Army (photojournalism), and it followed me to a training mission in Honduras where I saved a farmer's only cow from strangling to death on the rope from which it was tied. I yelled out loud just out of pure joy after finding it (I was really bummed when I lost it).

Then, last but not least, the knife I ordered to replace my CRKT - my Kershaw ZDP-189 Leek, comes by UPS and it's amazing! The polished blade glimmered in the sun as the titanium handle reflected a nice, cool, shade of gray. And the handle has a slightly "grippier" texture than the regular handles - this is a DEFINITE plus! It's REALLY light and is where classy meets elegant in my opinion.

Now... all I have to do is figure out how to sharpen the ZDP-189 and get some lubricant and I'll be in business. Does anyone know of a lube that will cover me on both knives and flashlights (threads)?

Anyways... this day was incredible and it doesn't get much better than this.

I can't stop opening my Leek. It's gorgeous! An amazing knife for sure, and I'm REALLY glad to have my CRKT M16-13M back... wew... it's my true EDC - for two years now.

Get Tuf-Glide. It comes in a small dispenser bottle with a long needle tip for precise, controlled placement of the lubricant. It's the same mineral spirits as Tuf-Cloth.

Esav,

Tuf-Glide will lubricate both knives and threads for my Fenix led flashlights?

Thanks,
Ryan
