Here is something you guys might find interesting.Back story is i set up at my local flea market with knives.Wasn't expecting much success,but it turned out more than decent as i got the opportunity to buy a collection.I bought 3 suitcases full of knives for $500.00.I never counted them,but over 1000 i think.Mostly old rusty junk not worth a buck or two.But many old and interesting ones.I think there were 40 scout style utility knives.One that was marked with the Scout logo was this spear point all s.s. Imperial.It has a unique function i don't think i've seen before.Sort of similar to the Geo Schrade wire knives,but not quite the same.There is not really a backspring,but just a short bar between the frame.And actually the tang doesnt seem to ride on it because one side of the frame moves up and down rather than this piece.I kind of understand it,but not quite.I may end up taking the thing apart! Here is a few pics and a pic of some of the knives.Many are the old stuff we had as kids if you happen to be a 50's model like myself.( :
