It's growing on me, but I still think the pink stove paint will be replaced with Gunkote

Got the Izula aftermarket for cheap, the scales showed up from Derrick yesterday.

Cuts cardboard packing crates like a razor, even with the friction coat!

That's the first pink Izula I've seen withe scales on it, and it looks pretty good.

like those scales, but they seem obtrusive

Not at all, actually. They make the knife usable in size-l hands, versus something too small that I'm trying to maintain a handle on.

Dan, you may certainly say that the knife is not to your liking :D

The texture of the coating adds some friction to fine cuts, whereas a smooth texture would not. That is the only reason I'd change it at this point.

it smoothes out nicely with use. you could sandpaper it just a bit to speed the process.

Upon re-finish, it will still likely have a pink or neon hue to it.

Guys, this is the ULTIMATE in stealth knife technology.

Imagine your knife is either of these colors

It will sure as hell not get the reaction of "Oh My God He's Got A Knife!"

Maybe I'll redo a Panther in this color scheme as well :D

Whatcha think - one of these in bright pink or neon yellow?

If these did not trade hands at $1200-$1500 each, I would consider it seriously (maybe in neon purple )

So are you getting her one or not?

The more I carry this around and use it, the more convinced I am that the pink or a similar hue is about perfect for urban use.

Nobody sees a pink knife as a knife.

Then again, back before Cav Arms was a wet dream in someone's evening, a friend and I were really wanting either a G19 or Tec-9 completely in orange, yellow or neon green, for the same reason.

Would an orange gun be a good idea? I would think law enforcement would frown on that kind of thing.

Actually, I think having the gun in any bright solid color could pose some problems since that's what trainer guns look like. Am I way off base?
