Hi there !

- Edit : better pix added in Post 10 -

This puukko was a custom order of sorts :
The customer trusted me on just everything (which BTW proves he doesn't really know me, right?!!! =D), from blade-shape to handle-material.
He just wanted me to use Takefu's Suminagashi (ShiroGami II core-layer).
And the puukko to be beautiful & fierce.

Soooooo...

Puukko (115mm / 230mm)
Takefu Suminagashi - ShiroGami
Grenadille

I hope you'll like it...

Have a nice day,

Remy

I really like it, but leaving the forge texture on this one is not the best decision, imo.

That has what looks to be my very favorite edge......THIN and zero-ground.

THX guys !

It actually is very close to a zero grind.
I hope these better pix after sharpening will show it.
The spine is about 4mm thick.

I think I just got wood... handle.

Beautiful, classic lines set off by careful materials choices... looks like someone made a good call.

nice knife but takefu steel does not make anything with white steel (Shiro gami) must be something else Vtoku maybe?

It actually is ShiroGami2 (so the sticker says at least) - maybe they just don't do it anymore (I bought it like 6-7 years ago) ?

I wish I could find (well, buy...) such suminagashi with a Super AoGami core layer... ;)

And 'Merci beaucoup' for your comments...

Watching this forum (and what you Guys post) pushes me forward at the workshop.
