Hello Ladies and gents...

Well we all love our beckers for it rugged bullet proof style so im here to show something that i've found that got my attention and will probably get your too.

Instead of heavy strong they opted for such a lightweight that is really nice looking and seen like user 2 so guys what are your opinions please avoid the "its 2 expensive for what it is", because thats what might be what one needs.

Light weight is fine as long as it is strong as well.
I'd not carry a knife that wasn't strong. That is why I like my Beckers.

Hmm, those blades are 0.08" thick, about half of the thickness of a Ka-Bar USMC. Maybe the fact that its titanium makes it stronger? Also the handles look like if you squeezed too hard you might bend it inwards, but if it really felt sturdy and strong in your hand, then why not? It would make your pack feel lighter, for sure.

My idea for then is that one of then plus a widgy bar would enter my edc rotation easy. So it would be Bk11, bk24, J lopes bear claw, and this

I think if it is works Well it is worth it. I am not a steel genius by any means but the titanium worrys me as far as edge re tension goes, and it might Hurt your hands because it is so thin and of the lack of handle Scales. Other than that they look nice.

Well from what ive been reading these blades arent made entirely from titanium the edge has a pure carbide on it to give the edge, also some coments said its a pain to sharpen these...

But on the kestrel knifes they will be making a s30v or s35v dont remember...

I personally don't want to have to sharpen a carbide edge so I stay away from titanium. If it's in steel and had some lightweight wood scales I think it would be great. I've beaten on my Mora, which is about the same thickness, to know thin knives can take a good beating. These would be great knives for ultralighters.

I am very tough on knives, and I really like a knife with some heft...solid feeling with some weight, a little blade heavy is my choice...thin paper knives dont really do anything for me, they might be great but just not for me.

If the day comes that my 11 is more then I can handle I need to hit the gym not the woods. Nice knife but knowledge is still lighter.

With knowlege you can make more with less. So it would do everithing the 11 would by your logic.

Some ultralighers would gladly disagree with you, (only a lightweight here), so because they can survive with 10lbs they need to hit the gym?

Im on the side of the less you carry the more you walk. And its a 3oz saving there. Of course in a bob my 3 is there but otherwise. I think this little fellow would do most thinks exept baton and prying fine(s30v) version

$140 to save 3OZ ? I would rather save the weight some where else. Thats just my opinion. If you like great, fine by me. I do find the design and thought process intriguing.
I am reminded of a time in my friends bike shop. A guy was trying to pick a seat steam. One was about 40 grams lighter but also $40 more. he was going back and forth about it. I just kept thinking how he could drop 20LBS around the mid section and save weight and $.
