Morning All,
I have a question. It's a dumb one I guess but I'll swallow my pride and ask it anyway.

Since I've been coming here I've figured out most of the acronyms for the khukuris.

GRS = Ganga Ram Special
BAS = British Army Special
GS = Gelbu Special
AK = Ang Khola

but what does BDC stand for? :rolleyes:

thanks

Mark T.

It's also sometimes called the "new model" but that's confusing. It's a nice relatively little (10" or 14" total) khukuri with not much cho, a plainer handle, and a simply curved fullered blade with lots of belly. I have the small version, it makes a great kitchen knife.

My, that IS a stupid question. (Actually, it was one I just found the answer to a few days ago, after some research. :D)

And, speaking of...

Got my 14" BDC 10 minutes ago. Wood handled, white metal. Tiny bit of rust on the tip, but steel wool and 3 minutes will handle it. Gorgeous, and feels like a real kuk, unlike the 12" Sirupati. I know my friend'll love it.

Uncle Bill's Best Buy" is definition I've always used, but I bleieve there's at least one other version.

There are NO dumb questions, only dumb answers!

(and this is one of them)

:D
