I picked up this book on vacation for a little less than 20 bucks. A quick search reveals its not the best, but it seems fairly interesting and worth looking at the pictures and such.

Does anybody else have a copy? He seems to focus on Russian\European makers and I don't really know anything about them. There seems to be lot of art knives in the book, although he does have sections on Spyderco, Leatherman, etc. Does he use some discretion in putting the knives in his books (i.e. are the knives he cites good quality) or does he include unusable fantasy knives as examples of fine blades?

What are some othe examples of this type of booK? I find them interesting to leaf through when I can't be on the internet.

Thanks

Yeah I so totally agree that having books of this sort is so useful to have around. In fact owning knife publications are about as close as one ever gets to actually own and drool over every single knife on the planet without risking severe sleep loss. If I am not mistaken AE has had two books published.

Books have a nice quality about them. They would far out last the magazines which don't offer much resale value in the long term. I would be keen to know just how many folks out there actually buy cutlery related books?

There are/were two european books to look out for. One is "Knives of the World" by Jean-noel*Mouret. The other being "Collectible Pocket Knives" by Dominique*Pascal. Can't recall any other English language cross-Atlantic material than this.
