Gentlemen,

One of my friends got this A-F knife (Applegate-Fairbairn) and we just curious to find out who is a maker?
I know Boker was making the replica and some other companies, but usually, they have markings on the blade.
This one only has A-F, date 12/97 and looks like s/n 001.
Do you guys know who can be a maker of this knife? Tooooo well made for just a China :-)
Thank you all in advance for looking!

thank you very much!
Eight Dollar Mountain Forge made those. Dale Sandberg was his name I believe. I haven’t seen anything from him in years. I’ve owned a few and they are great blades usually made from saw blade steel.

I had an 8 $ mountain knuckle bowie that thing was a Sherman tank 'The sheaths that came w the knives were thick and very well made.I think he got ill at some point and stopped making knives. He was forging knives at a very reasonable price back then,too..
