Hey gents. Posted this over in the C&H but thought yall might enjoy it as well.
This past June my father in law passed from glyoblastoma (brain cancer). It was a long slow death and was tough to watch him deteriorate slowly day by day. Before he got real bad he asked If i could make him a knife. My skill wasn't wear I wanted it to be so I put it off.
Well after he passed his brother and sisters came up to say their goodbyes and it was reunion for my wife as she hasn't seen them since she was a child.
Fast forward to a month ago and I get an email from my uncle asking to make 4 knives. One for each sibling. Only catch was they had to be different and represent each of them based off my short encounter with them. This is what I came up with:
I built the knife my father in law asked to the T. It's something I think he would be very proud of.
I wanted the others to be things they would USE so what better than some kitchenknives?
All knives are forged from 1095 and wood isfrom ben at Greenberg woods.
Thank you for your time and and comments are welcome!
