The Hawks are very interesting people to say the very least and I am proud to call them friends. When I attend shows I always look forward to the time spent with them and I always enjoy seeing what they come up with when it comes to there designs and Gavin's sense of humor :)

I feel that they are the most creative designers out there and the industry obviously agrees. Many of the giants in the industry use there innovative designs and they have a huge following.

Besides being excellent at what they do there life story is one of the most fascinating I have ever heard. Grants adventures alone could fill a book or two and I am sure before Gavin is done the same will be said for him.

If you have ever spent time with the Hawks they are some of the most genuine people in the game and their backwoods charm is only surpassed by there genius in design.

I am proud to call them friends and spending time with them has become a highlight of attending the shows for me.

Please check out this very well done video. It gives some insight to the genius and charm that the Grants exude.

Thanks for looking & installment number two will be forth coming :)

Wow. Brevity is king in the video world, but this one seemed short at 18 minutes. Once it starts it hooks you in.

Thanks, Joe. I have owned many of these fine works.

Very cool video! Thanks for sharing Joe.

That was a fun video to watch. Grant and Gavin seem like two guys I'd enjoy knowing. Thanks for posting that Joe. Can't wait for the next one.

Thanks Joe. I have been in Idaho City several times and Grant and Gavin are as real as they seem in the video. Wonderful people and if you are close to Boise it is well worth the drive to Idaho City. Besides being a beautiful drive, Bill Burke just happens to live in the area. Make sure you visit with them if you are at the Blade Show
This video is well worth your time. Gary

Superbe vidéo, Merci Joe..... "J'adore"....

I love this "American way of life", Nature, space, old vehicles and creativity...

.....

What a great video I feel enlightened in many ways after viewing this.

That was a great video! Thanks for posting it.

It's kind of odd that none of their designs seem to be in production by any of the big companies anymore. The DOG, ET, MUDD, RAM, and Ti-Lock all appear to be discontinued?

Agree; very, very odd. Anyway, below is one of their newest designs, the 'LINKS'. It is a non-locking toggle assisted flipper. The specimen I procured from Gavin below, has raindrop pattern Timascus inlays. I've referred to this custom blade as an assisted flipper, due to Grant Hawk having incorporated two long coiled springs underneath the skirts of the knife, that assist the blade during its deployment. Additionally using IKBS on the blade's pivot makes for an extraordinary smooth and fast deploying blade.

Thanks for posting this.
I have already watched it a couple times
Much Respect.

It's good to hear that so many people like the video! It's also always good to hear it from other makers as well!

Thanks Joe for posting this in the forums, and for all the kind words :) It's rare to have friends and genuine and real as you.

Also we sill have a design with Kershaw the select fire, and the Ti-Lock is still going with Chris Reeves, he's just a little behind. We have a ton of new designs coming out. . so stay tuned ;)

Gavin

Great to hear and we'll see you guys in Atlanta.... :)

I like the pendant you wear...neat 'stuff'. ;)

Wonderful video, just barely shows the design genius that Grant and Gavin share.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

STeven very well put.........and I know Gavin & Grant appreciates your kind words :)

Dudley or someone please post up one of Gavin's pendants

They are cool and some very cool people like Axle Rhodes and Dudley have them :)

Can't wait to meet you in person Dudley

This Blade is gonna be a good one. :)

Joe....Thanks for posting that. I particularly appreciate the very
independent/self reliant life style...

I watched this video elsewhere; completely enthralled. In person both are so humble; their work IMHO genius!

Hopefully that includes some knives under $100 as well! Pretty tough to pull out $400+ for knife right now - even for your quality work Gavin.

Will be looking for these new designs that you speak of.
