There is no point trying to hide the fact, I'm a fat guy, Gabriel Iglesias would describe me as "fluffy" but that is just weird.

Tonight I made "a Fat Guy's supper" using all one appliance, the deep fryer...

Made polish sausage with home made fries.

3 Idaho potatoes cut into slices.

Polish Sausage from a meat market out in Swiss, Mo. Their bacon is, to me, right behind Benton's on quality.

There are 3 secrets to GOOD french fries. 1) Make sure you rinse them before frying, 2) Fry them twice, once at 250* once at 400* this gets the soft inside and the crunchy outside, 3) Use season salt while they are still a bit oily once removed.

Twice fried, See!

The grill up on the roof is missing, so I fried the Polish Sausage as well.

Can't have Polish Sausage without onions!

Once the meal is all put together, and topped with some spicy mustard!

Was SO om nom nom tastic!

Bon Apetit!

That looks delicious :)... and there is nothing wrong with fat;).....lol..... I did notice 4 sausages in the fryer but only two on the plate though....

If you want a good polish sausage then you have to get the real stuff, not the store bought crap. Mmmm I'm hungry now.

This IS the real stuff, it IS store bought, however it's from a legit meat market. I watched them grind it all up right before I bought it.

Yum - they call the fried polish a maxwell street around here - good stuff!

Thank you for the great tips on the fries!

I appreciate your FF technique, it really is the only way to make GREAT fries. You can make good fries the normal way, but not GREAT fries. Well done.

wow, excuse me while i wipe the drool from my chin. All thats missing is a big heap of coleslaw to cover the whole mess!

You sir, win this thread! I grew up on Maxwell's. I just assumed most people wouldn't know what that was!

the other 2 were his appetizers :)

Actually, they were consumed later in the evening as my midnight and 4am snack.

goodness gracious. from one fat guy to another....that looks outstanding! thanks for the pic. and, to think...all i got is this pesky beer. ;) :D
