A few BK15 mods...

I decided to make a few BK15 mods. Nothing that fancy. I etched the logos deeper on both sides of the blade. The BK15 logos are quite a bit smaller being vertical instead of horizontal so I wasn't sure how etching would work out but I am pleased. Then I blued the logos. After bluing, I stripped the finish which was ALOT more difficult on the BK15 then the BK17. Not sure why but it took several different attempts to get the paint off. I still need to do some light sanding. I like clean lines and a simple blade. Lastly I did some minor stippling on the grivory and molded a nice Kydex sheath. May put some tommythowho wood scales on it. What do you guys think?

UCPOPO;

I thought about doing the logo etch on one of my tweeners, but noticed there was something down in the lettering, kind of a white/gold color, so I figured any acid/PC etch would be masked from the metal. Have you run into that, or did you just ignore it and I'm over thinking? :rolleyes:

I haven't run into that K9. I do usually scratch the area with a small file tip to make sure nothing is between the steel and the etchant.

Man...its post like this that make the choice between the tweeners so damn hard.
Good Job!
