Rick has ground a handful of custom Bowies so far......

Here is the first look at the 3" wharncliffe blade, we'll be debuting both customs and productions at the show.

Here I sit ...... breathing into a paper bag (again) staring wide eyed at my computer screen making faint mewing sounds.
Probably quite frightening to those who may encounter the sight, I must remember to lock the door.

Thanks Rob.:)

Great teasers! I love the little wharnie custom blades. They look so pointy! The awesomeness of those bowies goes without saying...

Holy Shi+!!!!

I'd love to have any one from the top photo and a production 3" Wharnie is a must-own.

Every day brings mixed outlook on my Blade attendance. These photos are a mixed bag of emotions for me.

I'll also add that a custom 3" hand-ground hollow-ground Wharnie is gonna be the cat's azz for a poking/slicing EDC.

There seems to be one wharnie without a swedge. Will there be two different custom wharnie blade styles....with and without swedge?

Some of those customs would make such nice good users :)

Damn I can't wait for Blade

Rog, thanks Rich - I almost got excited but thought better of it ;)

Fully understand. I got to watch as Rick ground one of those Bowies, it is an amazing thing to watch how steady and smoothly he grinds these blades free hand (no rests or guides). I could never tell which one though because he is so damned consistent you couldn't possibly tell them apart.

When you got it, you got it. I'm continually amazed at how perfectly straight and even the grinds are, that they're done freehand is mind boggling to me.

I guess if it were easy, we'd all be making them ;)
