Ray isn't as busy making knives these days as he used to be, but he still creates some of the most viscerally intriguing knives out there.
We keep in touch sporadically, and he sent me some photos of stuff he's completed and working on.
I love his work.

I've always enjoyed his work....especially his inclusion of the wrought iron. :)

Ray makes the dark, otherworldly almost fantasy stuff, he's just never realized it:) I've always loved his work.

Mr. R is without doubt one of my favorite makers and have missed seeing his creations lately.

Thanks for the "Hook Up"

Steve

His presence is missed here. Always liked his work, and he seemed like a good egg.

he is a good egg. And a visionary knifemaker. I think he's ahead of his time, and that his influence will be felt more strongly in the future.

I am fond of Ray's Daggers.
This is one I got from him a few years ago.

I am a big fan of Ray's work and love his daggers too Mark. Here is a beast he made for me a few years back, this monster could actually quailify as a short sword!!

Meeting Mr Richard was the high point of my Blade West trip...that was the last year Blade West was in Portland.....wish I had been wise enough to buy something off his table. Spectacular stuff.

I'm loving those daggers! Both of them kick ass.
