A few days in the mountains.

Some friends any myself spent last weekend in the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania. It was a beautiful area, in the middle of nowhere.
We assume this landscape will be changing really soon with all the trees having different dots, and letters painted on them.

My tarpless hammock for the weekend. It got down to 34F but we had no rain.

A little cast iron cooking. It was worth packing in the dutch oven!

Some light batonning with a ESEE Junglas.

Mine is basically a big ripstop nylon bag with a paracord drawstring. I rig up the tripod, then wrap the drawstring up, and tie it off. The bottom has a channel sewn into it for the cross stick. You can also stuff the bag with leaves before you rig it up, to insulate your butt/back.
