The William F. Moran Blade Forging & Knife Exhibition starts next Friday in Frederick, Maryland. Here are three that I'll be taking along for the knife exhibition/show.
This one is a little bird & trout with walrus ivory.
This one I think everyone has already seen. It's an El Camino Royale with Stellar Seacow bone, and a mother-of-pearl inlaid esctcheon.
This one I just finished tonight. It's a Southwestern Bowie in raindrop pattern Damascus. The handle is premium grade black walnut, and has a mother-of-pearl inlaid escutcheon.
I'll also be taking along a little Platypus personal carry with birds-eye maple. I don't have a shot of that one. I've been busting it getting everything ready and I'm too pooped to try to take any more shots. I've still got to get the paperwork done.
Monday I head out for Jerry Fisk's place, then Tuesday we start the trek to Maryland. We'll be helping setup the pavillion and the grounds for the Hammer-in/Exhibition. We'll also be planning out the cutting competition and scouring the town for all the goodies for the events. Actually I imagine we'll have the events all planned out by the time we get there. There's plenty of time to think it out. Last year it took us 22 hours to get there from Jerry's house -- *whew*
Oh yeah, the plain carbon blades are 1084. The Damascus one is 1084 and 15n20.
