this one was forged from a Vaughne as well...

This one was a 32oz vaughne hammer..I prefer Vaughne ball peens to other brands because they are made from 1080 steel...Per the manufacturer and also some company specs I happen to have ran across..Good stuff..

We've missed you Kentucky. Beautiful hawks to mark your return. Love the heads you forge and your wife does a fantastic job on the hafts.

Very, very nice. Thanks for the tip on the Vaughne ball peens. Two pounds of 1080 is always nice to have around. Love your stuff and large thanks for sharing it and techniques...

That ideas been around a long time..I know Stuart Willis has been doing it a long time but Im sure the idea was around before he started doing it..
Making a tomahawk out of a ball peen hammer is clever.

Who came up with that idea?

I really like the third one. Gorgeous wood on that haft but the head is both graceful and predatory in appearance.
