Home life and work keep getting in the way of my shop time. Just finished these two in the last few weeks to clear up the back log.

This first one is a lockback made with two slabs of Seymchan Meteorite, Mammoth tooth handle inlays and a blade made from my own damascus forged down at Indian Georges place a while back.

This one I just finished sports a Del Ealy Fish Pattern blade with Eggerling bolsters and Mammoth Bark scales. 2mm Saphhire in the stud. Fully fileworked dual colored liners and a fileworked, heat colored damascus spine.

I wondered when I'd see what happened to that stuff! Is this the same stuff you forged out of the container banding material?

Both are sweet as hell, but the truth is, your work is ALWAYS impeccable.

Those just blow me away :) that's got to be two of the most distinctive and great looking folders I have ever seen, IMO. Gorgeous in every way you made them, materials chosen and craftsmanship looks impeccable.

No idea what they would cost, be that owners will be extremely happy I'm guessing. :)

Bill, I love how that damascus came out.. Is that a special pattern or random??

Yep......the blade on the Meteorite folder is L6 (bandsaw blade) and 1095 (strapping).

That Mammoth and Damascus folder is just beautiful. What are the dimensions on that?

I'm a lurker here, making my first post. Since I know so little about knife making, I wouldn't normally offer my two cents worth but I feel moved to let you know that those knives-- especially the mammoth damascus-- are among the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. I'd like to own a knife as nice as these some day.

Adios!

Bill,
Those are AMAZING!!! Wow!Makes me want to start making folders! Then again I have so much luck screwing up fixed blades:o it just doesn't make much sense to put all the time into screwing up a folder!:D Did you ever try the pbc I sent you? Any luck?
Great stuff,
Matt Doyle

Thanks Matt.

I haven't tried the PBC yet. I have to find some time to play with it. I will get to it eventually.
