I was sitting on the couch bored taking pictures of a Sebenza. There had to be something to do, but what? Oh, I know! Two Dragon King katana entered the collection a few weeks ago. I think the models are the War Fire and Hana katana. It was time to see what's inside.
The pins came out easy enough and without damage to anything. The Dragon King handles were tight with no wiggle but came off doing the "proper" arm hitting motion. Assembly was also straight forward. My attention was focused on other things and the pictures are obviously afterthought quality at best. The two models are nearly the exact in specs other than steel type which is still basically the same. They are used for cutting targets that are harder on swords because they are cheap and the polish was never very fancy. Very good considering the price though. Rock hard ito wrap and rather nice saya also.
I also have a few Citadel katana and one was due for TLC. Pin fit was perfect, came apart perfect and went back perfect. Citadel is likely a little overprice but very high quality. "Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten."
I have two higher end Dragon Sword (swordcn) katana [not to be confused with Dragon King] that are REALLY nice for the ~$800 price and will I share that when the time comes. My free day is gone now and another isn't near enough. That will do for now, goodnight sword friends.
