SORRY! SOLD. AOL press is giving me trouble so I think this picture is gone forever.

Got a shipment today and here's the first one going up. This khukuri has a few miles on it but is in pretty good shape overall. It is silver mounted (tarnished as you can see) and I won't touch it. Overall length is 16 inches, about 1 & 5/8 wide and just over 1/4 inch thick. Definitely not an HI blade but good quality. It has scroll work with brass inlay along the back. File marks are visible on handle. Blade is fairly well finished but a few grind marks can be seen. "Nepal" is handpunched into the back of the blade where the HI goes on HI khukuris. A little shaky -- maybe the kami was illiterate. I'm guessing the knife is 20 to 25 years old which doesn't make it all that collectible. Silver mountings do.
First $100 takes it away.

Call or email.

How strange, Bill.

They haven't jumped all over this one.

What style blade would you call it, doesn't look like an AK.

Big, I don't know what to call this blade style. I think it is just a khukuri somebody made a few years ago.

I'm a little surprised it hasn't gone but I have am constantly being surprised by what people like and what they don't. The silver fittings make this rig a little on the unusual side and I thought the few collectors who happen by here would pick this one up.

If it doesn't go soon I'll lower the price to $50. I know if I offer to give it away somebody will be there to take it -- but that's not the way to stay in business.

True, pretty hard to stay in business Bill if you have to give them away

. Oh well, it went. Too bad, even with the outrageous exchange I could have managed $50 US to give it a good home.

Maybe another time.

Big, there will be more. I have a shipment of village models in the air right now. Stay tuned.
