A few more collection pics.....again I hope.

here is a screenshot of what happens when you go to you photobucket album, and move your mouse over a picture. you see the drop down box, and the fourth one is the IMG code? click that and it will automatically copy. then go into your post and right click and select paste. then post.

see how the code starts with ? that is the code that embeds the pics into your post. what you are pasting is the direct link, which we can click on and takes us to the pic, but if your trying to embed them and have them show up in your post, you need to select the IMG code and paste it

Ok Idaho here you go.

go to photobucket.com and login.

once logged in you will be taken to "Your Latest Activity" page
photobuck2.png

Scroll down to the picture that you want, notice the first pic in my album is the one i posted earlier in this thread
photobuck3.png

move your mouse over the picture you want to put in your post, and a drop down menu appears, here you can select the pic and see it full size, or as a shortcut you can select one of those links in the drop down menu. In this case we can select the highlighted area
photobuck4.png

Another way to do it is select the pic to make it full size, then click on the highlighted area
photobuck5.png

Once you click the IMG code, it will say "copied" like it shows here, now all you need to do is paste in your post

Hey clich I'm trying to use flickr because it is compatable with my camera progam im using.

ok try this, in the reply section there is an image button 3rd from the right. try uploading directly from your computer

Are you sure you got it? I don't see any pics. Photobucket is compatible with everything, you simply click the upload button, select the pictures from your computer...and upload. Also when clicking the IMG url, don't right click like you're copying and pasting, just clicking on the link will automatically copy it. Go to your post, and paste. The image should show up without having to click on any link.

Clich really laid it out for you there...If you still can't figure it out, get off teh interwebz. jk :P

I got it thanks, I'm gonna bore the crap out of you guys now.

I'm near certain flickr can't do it. Photobucket uploading isn't difficult just different......and I think slower as well. But it works

On topic: Those British commando knives are gorgeous. Love to get one.

Edit: saw your other thread and looks like you got photobucket.

idaho: fun thing to learn: editing your post. if you make a mistake, edit it, don't create a new one... you don't start a new thread either. just edit a single post until you have it down.

there are practice areas on the forum so master these things.

the FAQ, which you've read right? ;) at this link:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ds-Contests-Pictures-Modifications-Hacks-Bags...

has a url pointing to: How do I host/post/display my pictures? Read this. Love this:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...AL-Displaying-your-photographs-on-BladeForums

which explains in complete detail, i think, what's going on...

but first, learn to edit your posts. seriously :) keep things tidy please.

thanks Clich. if there's any new material there, maybe you could add it the Image Posting Thread.

Sorry for the problems, I think I have it now I hadn't quite figured it out yet with this thread.

With Flickr, all you have to do is when you are looking at a picture like that link you posted above, just click on "Actions" > "View All Sizes" > select the size you want, and then right click on "download the X size of this photo". After that come back here and click on the insert image icon (third from right above the text box). That's pretty much it.
