A few multitool questions

Hey Ron,

A while back I e-mailed you and asked about the orginal sheaths that sog was making for the powerlock and then you guys didn't get the results you wanted so you used leather instead of that sythetic wetsuit stuff. Is this the reason why in my manual for the powerlock it says it can be mounted horisontal but the leather can't. Was the orignal suppose to be able to?

And my powerlock handle has some play in t when the pliers are open, is it supose to have a little movement when you press down before te pliers work? almost like it's loose...course maybe it's not suppose to be really tight. Just wondering...thanks

Hi David,

Yes, the original "wetsuit" sheath material (more accurately called "Flextron") did not work for us. It did mount both vertically and horizontally. We do make a nylon pouch that fits the PowerLock that does fit both ways.

A little play in the plier head (side-to-side in the direction the plier head opens and closes) is normal, but not too much. If you feel your tool is not working properly, please return it to us for warranty evaluation.
