Inspirational art, very nice, the little mini chopper/mega box-cutter is right on.
Best Wishes,
mark

Thanks. Learned it all here!

Merry Christmas All!

Andy, you just keep getting better.

Norm (Svashtar) and I were talking about you this past Saturday, comparing some of your earlier leather and knife work. Improvement from one month to the next. The one that I have is a hammered sheath, with a Nessie. Love it.

I know you're not selling them, but before you throw the green one away...

Thanks guys. I miss posting this stuff here.

Im serious, that mini-cleaver kicks ass. Send it to Nepal, get the Kamis to make those for our kardas...

Nice stuff Andy. Your knives have come a long way, it's been nice to be there to see it.

Thanks for posting the photos. That little one with the burl handle and black liners is especially sweet.

I could send Yangdu a wooden mockup if y'all think it'd be a cool design behind a khuk.

Thanks for posting the photos.

Thanks Ted. Means a lot!

Great work and beautiful pictures, Andy

Wow! I must of have missed this thread while I was out of town:eek:
Beautiful work, Andy. You are an artist, my friend. I love the little cleaver looking one:D That looks like the perfect size and weight to tuck into your pocket and be off.

As a matter of fact, I did a similar mod on an old hickory butcher knife after seeing one of Graham's knives on newgrahams site. I designed it as a potato prep knife. Thinned the blade and honed the edge to more than razor sharp. The point digs out bad spots, the edge is sharp enough to carve off some of the skin (not much. the skin is good for ya!:D), and I left enough weight and length to chop through a large potato lengthwise.

My wife thinks I'm nuts, but if it gets me to help out in the kitchen, she's all for it:D

Thanks Jake. Ad Astra suggested a Wallet type sheath for it that I thought was a neato idea.

They all think we're nuts, but it keeps em on their toes.:D

Indeed! After the "cooking with khukuris" thread, I was screwing around with khukuri/cleaver designs. I never did make a prototype of my final though.

Whatever you call it, make sure the name includes "khleaver"!
