Here are a few I just finished up. The first is a little bird and trout, forged w2 3.5" blade, claro walnut handle, stainless fittings. The second is a little hunter, forged from 1/2" w1, light stained curly maple handle, nickel silver fittings. I'll post the pics of the third piece in a little bit...;).

Thanks for looking.

Matt

I like both of them an awful lot, particularly the little walnut number. Now where's the third.. ;)

Thanks for the compliments guys! The third one is a week or so out now :(. I decided it needed some rework. I'll get some pics up as soon as it's done.

Looking nice and clean Matt! Just got back fromt he hammer-in and met a couple of students that will be in the upcoming intro class. Can't believe it has been almost a year. Are you thinking about taking your JS test soon?

Bailey, thanks for the compliments. If you ever need an assistant for the class I'd be happy to help. I'd like to take the test sometime in the near future. With any luck I'll get down to the fall hammer in and take it there...

Matt,

If you could make it down this Summer, it would be great to have you assist in the class.

We can run through a few blades to build your confidence. Not that you need it....
:p

If anything it needs to be knocked down a few levels :). I'll have to see how things go this month, with any luck I'll be able to make it down.

Great knives Matt, I really like the attention you put into the fit/finish of your pieces.

Needless to say, if it were anything else, I'm sure Bailey would probably beat ya like a step-child!!! ;)

Superb work, keep it up.........

Dang, I'll bet those pictures are in the opposite order to what you described.

They both look great. I think I like the walnut handled one a touch better, but that's just because I don't care for curly maple.
