Since we seem to be having a little trouble making an on-topic post today, let me show you how it's done... and done in a big way!

And if that doesn't catch your eye, then how about this one?

Or, if you're more into manipulation than collection, how about this?

Chuck,

The brass handled BaliSong is beautiful and the story behind it even more so.

At the age of 21, I should have become a Machinist instead of an Alarm Technician.

I have known a couple of people in years past who were Machinists and on their break time, they could fabricate what they wished as long as it was legal [they specifically mentioned of course that firearms and certain firearms devices would be a No-No, and rightly so] and as long as they supplied the material or used scraps from the shop.

To be able to do these things and do them well, or know someone with the Skill and Ability to do these things would indeed be marvelous to us.

Those handles are indeed beautiful. At a glance, it looks like a well-made Custom, and I guess now it is.

Nice, as usual, Chuck! Could there be a shortage of stag in Brazil all of a sudden.............

Hello Chuck, (and everyone else)

What do you think of the satin finish on the blade of Steve's piece? I was trying to cover defects but still believe that I should have used something different.

Originally, I thought the contrast of the mirrored handles and the satin blade would accent each other. Now, I am not sure.

Nice pics by the way. Care to elaborate on the young practitioner!?

Best regards,

That is gorgeous! I like the satin finish on brass. It doesn't seem to dull as fast as a polished finish. The lines look very clean and I want my BM239 blade done please.

Thank you all for the many compliments.

A good picture begins with a great knife. These were two really good subjects.

The Dobruski piece belongs to our own Chefget who loaned to to me for longer than I think he expected while I photographed it. Thanks for your patience. I must say that Mr. Dobruski makes a very well-build and very sturdy knife.

The brass-handled one is a very pretty piece. It was hard to send it back since it makes such a pretty ring when manipulated.

I had a great time photographing both of these knives. If any of you would like to see one of your balisongs in The Galleries, just drop me an e-mail.

Chuck,

Those are some excellent pictures! I
especially like the first one

I've seen it somewhere before I'm sure of it! Hmmm...

Michael, I think it looks fine to me. I think you did a fine job polishing that brass, and the blade! When I sent it to you, that blade was kind of funny looking with the scratches running down the middle of it! Now it looks great! You've got one satisfied customer here.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate it.

I'm in love with the brass balisong. You don't usually see any brass balisongs for sale anymore.
