Stupid title... mod or admin; feel free to change it to "size comparison", "SRKW/ATC/Nemesis/GB" or something like that...

Just a couple of pictures... maybe someone can use them for size comparison? :)

Nice hawks man. I especially like the LMAX. Looks like a very tough piece!

Awesome stuff! What do their sheaths look like? Much appreciate some pictures if you've got time to snap them.

Can they be suspended on a load bearing vest?

Which would be your hawk of choice if you had to carry one into operations... and does the VTAC rust on contact with seawater? :)

Can't do photos right now... i'll post some tonight or tomorrow (swedish time).

My hawk of choice would probably be the Crash Rat or the VTAC. I just got the Comanche so it's too early to say much about it. It's long and it would be my first choice if the hawks only task would be killing. I love the LMAX but the aluminum handle draws heat from the hands even in mild weather. For warm weather areas it would probably be very nice though.

The VTAC is much lighter and has a functional sheath. The nylon handle makes it user friendly in cold weather. However, it is not a very good cutter and has little to no lateral prying capabilities. I'd say it's more weapon-ish than the Crash Rat.

The Crash Rat is heavy and i wouldn't want to grip the handle without gloves in cold weather. The tip of the handle doubles as a pry bar, it works very well with choked up grip and cuts as good as a few of my knives and better than all the "tactical" knives i've handled. It's not very fast to handle due to its heft, and i think the handle would become too slippy for use if covered with blood, so.. more tool than weapon. It doesn't come with a sheath... i plan to order some kydex later today so i should have a sheath for it in a week or so.

Here's a few choice rankings :)

Weapon:
1. Comanche
2. VTAC
3. LMAX
4. Crash Rat
5. Wildlife

Entry tool:
1. Crash Rat
2. LMAX
3. VTAC
4. Comanche
5. Wildlife

General "woodsy" utility:
1. Wildlife
2. Crash Rat
3. VTAC
4. Comanche
5. LMAX

General urban utility
1. Crash Rat
2. LMAX
3. VTAC
4. Wildlife
5. Comanche

Hey Pete,
Any chance of seeing them hawk sheaths? How do you carry these safely on a work belt or molle-type vest? Grateful for any advice you or any folks here can share.
