I've posted stuff like this before this before, thought I'd do it again since I've designed plenty more in the meantime - here are a few:

Not sure if I'll send any of these to a knifemaker eventually and ask him to build them. As you may know from past threads, I occasionally get a custom knife I designed made (I currently have two on order).

Those are pretty solid designs. The first looks like a real good one for the woods. The second looks like it would be a handy little edc maybe even a large necker or pocket knife. great job

They all look good. Nice job on the handles.

I think I could make #2 into a folder, pivoting behind the choil. :)
#3 is probably my least favorite.
#4 is excellent. Boker has a folder design with a similar blade, with at least 2 models.

Thanks for your comments everyone! :)

Hey, that's true. I didn't even notice that.

Yes, it's not favorite among them either. I tried a new interpretation of the San Francisco dagger (asymmetrical dagger) and this is what I came up with.

I like the first two. What steel would you use?

I haven't really given this much thought. #1 maybe in 440C or N690, a good multipurpose steel. #2 in something highly corrosion-resistant as a back-up SD knife; ZDP-189 or 1.2453 for superior performance when dealing with delicate utility tasks.
The last three should be in carbon steel with traditional handle materials, probably wood.
