I posted this in "general". Couldn't see how I could delete it so this is a double post...sorry all.
Anyways here are some of the ones I really like in my collection...I am not a big fan...YET...of elaborate handmade knives for every day use. If I spend a heap on one, my fear is it will become a shelf queen that never gets used for fear of scratching the beauty it has. All of the knives I own are used...some more than others, but they are not meant to be virgins in my book...tacticals are some of my favorites...
1) Ron Hembrook fixed blade hunter with Desert Ironwood scales and ATS-34 steel. Nickel silver bolsters. I had him add a high back for my thumb. This fits my hand like no other knife I own.
2) Microtech SOCOM Elite Desert Tan Camo...D2 steel.
3) Microtech Ultratech double edge OTF auto...154CM steel
4) Benchmade Nimravus Tanto, aluminum scales...154CM steel
5) Masters of Defense CQD Mark 1...steel 154CM
6) Masters of Defense CQD Mark 2...steel 154CM
7) Camillus CUDA...steel ATS-34
8) Buck Alaskan Guide series Alpha Hunter...steel S30V
9) Buck Sirus...steel 420HC...I can actually say I am not hateful to this steel. It is one of my EDC's and takes a simple touch up to keep sharp. Extended use, yes, it really sucks.
NEXT on my list...Benchmade Nitrous Stryker 912
Wow what a sweet knife there.
Anyways, just thought I would share a few of my favorites...got plenty more, but they ain't worth displaying...LOL!
