A few opinions of a few blades

I don't own any HI products right now and I would like opinions of a few blades before I buy one. These are the blades I am thinking about buying are the seax, 12 in bonecutter, WWII, and a few swords. Also can you buy khuks that weren't bought from previous DOTDs?
 
It has been posted that the current batch of Bonecutters made by Murali Kami are a 'once off' effort but that Sgt. Khadka will continue to produce his Bonecutters to as fund-raisers to assist putting his son Ram through medical school. As far as I know these releases will happen when they happen.

Items taht appear on the HI web site can be ordered via an email to Yangdu. Whether they are in stock is another question.

I too have wondered about previous unsold DOTD items; a recent post by Yangdu regarding a Falcata suggests that some of these items remain in stock whereas I imagine others that are more popular items would go to supply direct online purchase orders?

I would suggest you read the excellent sticky "Recommendation? First Khukuri- Recommendations and Reasons" compiled by Karda as a start for info regarding the HI
blades you are interested in obtaining.

And it's a very high opinion.


Come to think of it, I have a high opinion regarding anything I've bought from Ms Yangdu.

Start with the WWII.

Kamis make khuks - it's the core of their experience, so a khukuri will be the best expression of their forging skills. Plus, it doesn't get any better once you find the right WWII for you.
 
I was planning on getting the WWII until I found out about the Foxy Folly. In your opinion which is better.
