Kershaw RAM
Mudd

And if you do a little description, that'd be cool. BTW is zero tolerance owned by kershaw?

ZT and Kershaw are both subs of KAI. Both are made in the USA and come out of the same factory
in Oregon. The MUDD is a no BS heavy duty folder that can take pretty much anything you throw at it.
It has a sealed pivot that keeps sand, dirt and.........mudd(;)) out of it.
The RAM is my fav EDC. Super smooth action. It's a flipper but it opens as fast as most if not all AO's.
You really can't go wrong with either.

I just received my 0500 today. The MUDD is incredibly solid, it feels almost like a fixed blade. It is too big for me to carry everyday, but it will be my folder of choice for difficult tasks. The G10 is more rough than I'd like, but I'm not sure if I will replace it.

The RAM, by comparison, is small and light. It opens faster and more smoothly than the MUDD, but at the expense of a less solid feel. It is my favorite EDC.

+1 on what that guy said , in other words I agree, kinda , sorta , almost anyway :D:D:D

Is the blade pivot adjustable on this knife? I noticed complaints of side to side play on the pass-around knife which lead me to believe that it is not.

I was in on the pass-around, and there was very little side to side play. I don't think anyone really complained about it. There was not enough to worry me if it were my knife. I didn't take the knife apart, but yes, I would think the pivot is adjustable.

i found that the pivot on the mudd really is not adjustable.. And the play more depends on the amount of washers inside of it.. The pivot is machined to a certain size to fit in both sides of the aluminum frame... Giving you X amount of space.. Both spanner pivots are male.. the main pivot has two female sides.. hope that explains it a bit..
My Mudd has slight vertical and almost no horizontal play.. I dont mind.. Because it doesnt effect the lock strength..IMO

Perhaps I worded that wrong when I said people complained, it was more a case of it being mentioned. My bad on that.
I do appreciate the info on the pivot though. Just looking for something a bit stronger than the typical folder. Thanks again.
