Explored a new area. there was a nice variety of rocky dry areas, lush greenery (even a little stream) I guess the fancy word would be riparian :D Anyway it was fun, and didn't run into a single other person out there

Found an area of rock that had some really colorful algae patches. Looks like it was a streambed during the rains.

Great pics, Tknife, that looks like a fun area to hike in. I love it when I go hiking and do not see another person too lol. I really miss hiking in the desert areaa like that. I did alot when I was in the Marines.

Nice! I like that groovy last pic LOL

How did u find a place with no people here in SoCal??? :)

Nice new area to explore, I love the rock formations out that way. Looks like you had great weather. Those are some interesting algae patches, interesting colors. We have a lot of Lichens that grown on the rocks in the stream beds here, but then everything gets wet often around here

Great pics buddy, love that Sugar creek knife !

Do you get rock tripe growing over there ?

It is tough sometimes finding an area all to myself, sometimes I just have to go further or just get off the trail altogether!

Pit I don't think rock tripe grows on my side of the States. I have heard of it though, I think an episode of Bizarre Foods, Andrew was eating it but I think he was back east somewhere.
