That's one I hadn't seen. Very cool. Is it intended for cutting wood and woody material?

I think that would be user decision. I haven't seen a warning label on the box or their daikaiju machete that says don't chop wood with it.

Have you tried throwing it like a spear yet? A lot of period novels always seem to have someone with a scimitar throwing it and impaling a man on it

I think if I put some minute final touches into the edge it will do better
