A Few Questions About Serial Numbers

So, seeing that SARGE has me thinking about ordering my first Busse from the company store. It also brings a couple of questions to mind:

1. Do only LE models have serial numbers? Edit: I just relooked the SARGE and see that it is serial numbered, so is it LE, or what?
2. How many of a certain model are usually produced?
3. Can you reserve a specific serial number?

I have serial number 763, my ODA number, on my Chris Reeve Yarborough (that took a lot of work and a long wait time!), and I'd like to continue that practice if possible.

I gotta say, that SARGE is a beaut! Great work Garth!

1. Yes, in recent times anyway.
2. Only Busse knows.
3. Contact the source of the knife you intend to buy first. I've had decent luck with Busse direct, but first come first served with the Company Store (where the SARGE 7 is likely to come from).

Actually, it's not always the ones designated as "LE" models that are serial numbered. For instance, I have Muddy Mojo Variant No. 9. Although it was a limited edition in the sense that there were only 45 available, it wasn't designated a "Mojo LE" or anything like that. I'm sure there have been others like that, although none spring to mind at the moment.

But then, although 2006 seems like just yesterday to me, I suppose it might not count as "recent times" to some.

Tim has it right.

I try to get 33 or 333

Thanks for the input fellas.

I think an E-Mail to Pokey or Garth might provide some answers specific to the SARGE...
