I have this wonderful Bushcraft in CPM 154. I think it is 2 years old now. Love it.

I want to make some sheaths to sell using this knife as a 'pattern' for wetform. If I used this as a pattern - what years of Bushcraft would the sheaths fit? I know you have made some changes - but I don't think you have made a ton. The sheaths in question would look something like this when complete:

Of course it would be for a Koster - but the general shape and feel would be the same (Colors being different). I won't be selling a lot - and I will only offer them (in the for sale section) as I get them done. I won't be taking orders as I do not want to fall behind on what is, for me, a hobby. I am just making sure that your customers knives fit what I am making.

I hope this is not in the wrong spot - if it is - I will edit it out to change it. Thanks!

A sheath made for that knife will fit any year/generation bushcraft knife of my make. The 2009 bushcraft style was the largest. The overall/blade/handle lengths have remained the same since the very first one in 2007. The only significant differences have been the thicker handle slabs and increase in guard size (2009-present). I did change the shape of the butt of the handle (compared to 07/08), but that doesn't affect the sheath. And being a deep pouch carry, it will definitely hold the thinner 1st Gen bushcraft knives well.

That all said, the sheath looks Great!!

Please feel free to post a link here to any sheaths you put up for sale in the Exchange.

Thanks Dan, once school gets started (I am sure you know what I am talking about) and I get settled into the classroom - I will start making some.

Thanks!

Yes I do....starts for me on Monday...

Be sure to post pics here - thanks!

Dan - I will likely just sell them here. I have to tell you - your generosity has always been great for me - I have sold a few sheaths here before and you have been nothing but gracious.

Good luck in the fall.

Tal, I am anxiously awaiting one of these sheaths. I am glad you are still going to bend leather every now and again. Your work really is outstanding and I would love a bushcraft sheath for my Koster! (any chance you plan on making some with a square bottom??)

Doubtful - I have moved past that aesthetic - but I might just surprise you. Keep an eye open and I will post them here.

Dan is VERY cool to allow this in his forum.

My pleasure, Talfuchre - your work speaks for itself.
