i received a package the other day from Kim of RaidOps. i had ordered a replacement for my Spartan-Anygrip that i gifted to Dave (Knuckleduster) and i opened the box which revealed two additional items!
the Spartan-Anygrip Kim sent along is a little different from the last one i had. it doesn't have the notch in the head of the skull. i rather like it this way! it's still very light due to Ti construction.
the next item is also a Spartan-Anygrip, only more Heavy Duty... MUCH more! the Spartan-Anygrip HD is made of 300 series stainless steel and was made as a prototype in response to a customers wanting a black version. the finish is a "nitride heat treatment". the HD version is thicker, heavier and just plain more bad a** than the regular Ti version. i don't know if Kim will make this a regular item, but this one is a keeper! the pics show the thickness difference between the HD and the regular Ti Spartan-Anygrip.
the last item is what i believe is a discontinued item. it is the PICA RAIL V.3. Kim made a bunch of these for TAD Gear some time ago. it is a very nice design with clean lines and is an excellent mini prytool. it is made of D2 and has a black finish that i am assuming is a nitride finish.
i feel very lucky to call Kim a friend and very much appreciate his generosity.
