Hi guys!
I don’t post on here as often as I’d like, most of my stuff is posted on Instagram, but I’m going to try to start doing it more.

The first are a couple kwaikens I enjoyed making very much, inspired by Matthew Gregory’s work. He helped me through them and photographed the top one. His mentoring has really been invaluable to me.

Thanks for looking!
Any comments/criticism welcome.

Great job my friend....still trying to wear out my Rider Gyuto. ;)

Yeah, I’m right in line on that dagger...

The dagger is so over the top that it’s mindboggling. Seriously, that’s awesome. The rest of your knives here show your capabilities, but that little dagger is just electric sex, man. SWEET!

Nice work! I'm still lovin' the kwaiken I got from ya.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind words. That’s why I love posting stuff on here, it’s funny I really didn’t give the dagger a whole lot of thought, but after it was done I really liked it as well.

Richard, the wheel was a 2” rubber coated idler wheel. I got the idea from, believe it or not, M. Gregory, who had a badass DEEP hollow on one of his knives. When I inquired about it he challenged me to try it some time with a small wheel. It wasn’t easy to freehand, but I’m going to do some more for sure.
Several interesting pieces, very nice.
What is the wheel size on the hollow ground dagger?

Wow, so a 1" radius. I'm setting up to try one in a 2" radius, so I paid attention when I saw your work.
To my eye, then you "walked it up" a little also?

I’m sure I did a little bit. The tough part is trying to keep everything symmetrical because every time you get one bevel refined the other 3 are effected. It took a bunch of fine-tuning to get it where I was happy. If you plan on doing a dagger, you’ll see what I mean.
