Here is a little something I've been working on in my spare time, it's a slip joint folder. (my first folder )

That shop is just all wrong - it's too clean!

Folder looks cool.

I too am impressed with that anvil. How did you make it? I also like that surface grinder.

Nice shop Kyle. I like the anvil a lot as well. That is one big chunk of iron. Very impressive!

HI Kyle, when the folder is ready , please let me know!

I will post it on the forums when it's finished.

Did you have it cast or is it machined?

We cut it out of a counterweight/bumper on an old forklift that had a thirty foot boom. I spent about a month grinding it to shape and filling the voids with the welder where the torch cut out to much out. We also covered the top of the anvil with high carbon wire from the welder, then we ground the top flat with are five horse angle grinder. We then welded legs on it. From the tip of one horn to the tip of the other it measures 32" and weighs about 450lb.

I cleaned up the shop a bit for the photos, it gets pretty dirty in there quite often.

Looks like you have a nice setup. I also think the anvil is impressive. Sounds like you and your dad put a LOT of sweat into getting things set up.

Hope to see the folder finished too.

Thanks,
Peter

Great looking shop, Kyle.
Thanks for showing us.

Doesn't sound like the folder's gonna' be around long when it's finished either.

Show us a more general shot (wide angle?)
of your shop....

All the best,
