Friday morning at Blade, I picked up my first Fiddleback with Arizona Desert Ironwood scales. The Asp I had been waiting to see pop up for months :) Duder, you were right. I do really dig the Asp model very much!

Very nice choice Mist. You wouldn't think blue liners would look good on darker wood scales, but that thing POPS!!!

It's a good thing I own an asp already; your pics make me want to buy knives.

Mist good God that thing is gorgeous. How do you get your pics to load so big I tried and can't get bigger than a thumb nail size. Great grab my friend sorry we didn't get a chance to meet. I love my shade tree asp with a taper tang comes in a close second to my ke bushie in 5/32 it will just melt the wood away.

That is a good looking knife Brian. The Asp has been been on my radar for a while now because I like the Sneaky Pete so much. The Asp looks very nimble and pointy like you prefer. I think that it was Will (xxwjtxx) who described it as a "Kephart blade with a better handle." That description appeals to me.

Great photos as always from you. It is really nice to see a green background again after many months of white.

Keep us posted on how you like it in the field.

Great post mist -- that Asp really speaks to me! I Love the combo (got 4 more just like it!) -- I think you will find the profile very versatile and appealing for your uses, and as Phil mentioned, my opinion of the design still stands in that the Asp is an improved kephart-esque design. Looking forward to your forthcoming in-depth review!

Cheers,

Will

That knife in particular has a wonderful balance to it. Not that all of Andy's knives feel great in hand, but that one .. almost pure perfection. Great score Brian.

Great pics! That asp is a work of art! Keep us posted on how it works for you in the field.

Nice one Mist! I love me some Asp. :) That wood looks great with the blue pinstripe and natural pins.

Hey mist!

How come almost every photo of you holding different models make the knives look so small? Your hands that big?

Thanks for the photo's, Keep`em coming! I've been somewhat down in the dumps lately but when I quit feeling sorry for myself, I've got a great place to take some outdoor pictures. I feel like I need to contribute a little more here.

Thanks guys, yes I'm really digging the Asp a lot. Still playing catch-up after Blade, so will be a bit, but more pics to come soon :)

So that's why all of you kept wanting to play with my Asp Saturday night! Yes, it does have an excellent balance. I suspected as much just looking at it when I snagged it :D
