Let me begin this post with a hearty THANK YOU to all who posted WAY COOL knives!!!

I have come to the realization that an Equal End knife of about 3.5" with a ( I think) Spear Point main and a Sheepfoot secondary with Light Bone or Stag SHOULD become my nicely dressed knife!

Here are 5 knives I have. I know not for sure how old they are.

At the top we have a Schrade NY USA 80T with match strike long pull and saw cut delrin I think. Absolutely Grandpas and got treated rather roughly.

Under that is a Camillus New York USA again with match strike long pull. It has had the HECK sharpened on the main and sheepfoot and I can't believe my Grandpa did that to it so I can't say for sure if it's one of his or not. It has Peachseed bone.

The yellow handle is one a Schrade NY USA 881Y with long pull and it's blades are very full. Was Grandpas and treated well.

Next down is a Kutmaster with long pull and jigged bone. My Dad gave me this one and can't tell me anything about it.

Last but not least is a Case Camp (or Scout) knife. Underlined Case over Tested XX. It has Peachseed bone and snaps like an alligator! The main blade is my FAVORITE blade shape! Any of the other knives MIGHT leave but NEVER this one!!!

What can you experts tell me?

I'm not an expert and all I can tell you is that the Case Camp is gorgeous. Serious knife envy going on here.

Hi,

I'm another one with some serious knife envy here. That's a nice collection, particularly the ones from your Grandfather. Those are a family historical treasure.

I carried a number of Schrade stockmen like yours back when I was a youngin'. A real nice workingman's knife. My Dad was partial to the Scout pattern. Though he bought Imperials because that what was available. So to see your collection brings back some memories.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

I must say that after the Scout the Kutmaster is the next most likely to end up in my pocket.

I carry a modern locking folder clipped in my right front pocket for primary but always have a slippy in LFP!

I like that Kutmaster also. Very nice! I also like the Schrade NY USA 881Y, they use great steel!

Excellent collection! More so because they all contain family history. I have my dad's Old Timer MM8 from 1989 and it is a piece I don't carry often but am really happy to have.

I dig that old Kutmaster and that Scout is a fine piece!

What gets me about the Scout is that while I think it's at least as old as the others it works like new. Great springs!

Main blade on Kutmaster snaps good but the other two are cranky.

The Schrades.... well what can you say? They work!
